One of our youth members, Laurie Ullathorne, who is also a Hockey Wales Youth Ambassador, has been appointed to the Youth Sport Trust National YA Panel for 2023/24! Laurie is just one of four Welsh YA's to have been selected for this role.

The mission of the panel is to provide ongoing support for YA's to develop as confident, motivated, and skilled young leaders.

Laurie has been at Gwent for almost 7 years and has been on a YA progression pathway having just applied for the Platinum award.

As well as playing for our youth and senior teams, Laurie helps to coach the club's younger age groups as well as being instrumental in running school hockey events in the Monmouthshire area.

Laurie is a real credit to the club and a huge asset to the wider hockey community.
