Gwent Ladies’ 1st team will be representing Wales in the Eurohockey Challenge 3 competition in Zagreb from 28 – 31 May 2020. Gwent have announced a strong and experienced squad for the competition which is being hosted by Hockey Club Zelina.

Gwent will be hoping to do Wales proud and will be aiming to improve on a 5th place finish when they participated in the same competition in Prague in 2015.

Captain Beth Poultney said ‘we are really excited to be travelling to Zagreb and testing ourselves against other European sides’.

Preparation for the tournament will include some fixtures against English national league teams; as well as a strength, conditioning and fitness plan.
